- Supervise two staff: Accountant and A/P-A/R Specialist;
- Collaborate with the VP of Financial Affairs.
- Supervise payroll;
- Prepare payroll journal entries;
- Streamline payroll procedures and processes.
- Reconcile multiple Bank Accounts;
- Reconcile Investment/Endowment Accounts;
- Advancement: Reconcile Raisers Edge vs. Financial Edge (Blackbaud);
- Report on departmental actual vs budget and distribution of reports to department heads.
- Record Tuition Revenue
- Record and reconcile Prepaids and Amortizations
- Record Depreciation
- Month end close
- Balance sheet schedules;
- Financial reporting for all schools to the VP of Financial Affairs for the Finance Committee.
- Audit - Preparation of schedules for interim and year-end fieldwork;
- NAIS and Cal-ISBOA Surveys;
- Special filings, as needed.
- Special projects including Financial Edge/Blackbaud reimplementation and other tasks as assigned by the VP of Financial Affairs;
- Engage in professional and personal development;
- Participate and initiate opportunities that demonstrate one's growth, knowledge, and skills;
- Collaborate with the business office and other departments to offer sound advice regarding the improvement of general business practices.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
- 5 years of Accounting experience in a dynamic environment;
- Advanced user experience with Excel;
- Blackbaud and Paycom experience is preferred, but not necessary;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
